Frequently Asked Questions

Can I bring pictures of what I want ?

It’s always helpful to get a selection of images together showing styles that you like, don’t worry – they can be completely different looks – it will just give us an idea of the sort of things you might like to try. You don’t need to send me the images in advance, I’m more than happy to look at them when we meet for the trial run.

What are your prices and how do I book?

For an accurate quote and pricing information, please contact here, or email directly to aleicapace1@hotmail.com.

I will be in touch within 48 hours to send pricing information and begin the booking process.

How far in advance do I need to book my wedding hair?

As far in advance as possible. As soon as you have selected your wedding date I would recommend getting in contact with me ASAP to secure your date. I often book out months or even years in advance.

Do you offer makeup services?

While I do not personally offer makeup services, I often work alongside extremely talented artists and can always recommend someone if you need.

Do you travel?

Yes, HBAP regularly services the Central Coast, Newcastle and Hunter Region but also can travel further north to Port Stephens and surrounds as well as the south coast and beyond. Get in contact for a travel estimate.

How should I prep my hair for the wedding day?

Wash your hair the night before. Use two shampoos to the one conditioner, but do not use any products that have a silicone base to it. (e.g. Pantene, Palmolive, Tresemme, Sunsilk) These will make the hair too slippery and it will not hold style well.

  • Blow dry your hair as smooth as possible and try not to use a straightening iron. If you do not feel comfortable blow drying your own hair or have naturally curly or frizzy hair, I strongly recommend to have it professionally blowdried if possible before the day.

  • On the day wear a loose cotton button up shirt or cotton robe so your hairstyle is not affected when you change into your dress!

Should I have a trial?

While trials are not essential with your booking, I do recommend booking in a hair trial with me if you are unsure of what style you want or you want the opportunity to get to know me as your stylist for you big day.

In your trial we discuss your ideas, go through some hair inspo you may have and I can give you my professional opinion on what style will not only look amazing but will last all night.

I recommend a trial be completed no less than 4-6weeks out from your day. I do recommend booking your trial as soon as you decide on a date as I do get booked out months in advance.

What are your Covid protocols?

I understand first hand that planning a wedding amidst a pandemic is extremely difficult and we are doing our best to accommodate our brides, I am remaining open and flexible with transferring of wedding dates and rest assured I will always do my best to make sure we can go ahead with your dream day on an alternative date pending my availability.
